Three little monkeys

The three monkeys mimic each other.

Auntie Susan and I took the kidlets over to the playground near GM Place and Tinseltown. I think they wiped her out!

Birthday Pics

The kids' threw an early "surprise" birthday party for me on June 13th, where I unveiled Melissa's impressive creation: blue-bead bracelets that she made herself!

Blue/Orange
Saw this show last night at Performance Works on Granville Island with Karen Ameyaw, whose brother Kwesi played the character of Christopher with aplomb and brimming with presence.

Spellbound

Spellbound
This movie review from the Globe and Mail is pretty funny, and mentions a lot of things I was thinking about when watching "Spellbound"

On the Road, with Globalfreeloaders

I could write about the visit from Global Freeloaders Marcus and Rebecca, of Gainesville, Florida, but it's easier to direct you to their Road Trip Blog (see posting June 10th, for June 6-10):

2003 On the Road

Also, tonight I saw the documentary "Spellbound" and was quite literally spellbound by the drama surrounding America's National Spelling Bee. Some parts are so gripping you could feel the pressure along with the parents and kids. I recommend this to anyone who has ever had to compete for anything (and that's pretty much everybody).
