From the archives: March 1993.
I was 20 and in Ireland for the first time, starting off in Belfast and heading south to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day.
Areas of the city had been bombed to ruins and heavily guarded 24 hours a day. I don't think I'd ever seen so many armoured vehicles around a city before.
